TL;DR: Liked it. Would of loves to have some more fleshed out NPCs. Missing a few connective bits.

I ran this module as a one-shot last weekend and we had a lot of fun! Like mentioned in the other comments, I did add a door between room 1 and 6. The players and myself liked the dark demonic and insect inspired themes.

I did have some feedback on the adventure. First of all, it mentions the use of italic text in the "how to use this" section but I didn't see any italic text in the room keys. Maybe an export problem or just something that was forgotten?

SPOILER BELOW

It was unclear to me what the NPCs wanted. Why are there goblins here? What do they want? What do the cultists think about them? And for the cultists. Do they know about H'thlux awakening? What are their plan? Do they know about the teenagers? If so what about it? About H'thlux, it says he is out to prove himself, how can that be done? I feel like these are all questions that could be easily answered by the module and would allow the Warden to portray them better.

And the premise of this adventure is that flies are plaguing the nearby village and coming from the barrow mound, but their is not any mention of where they are actually coming from? Some portal to the abyss? A magical nest producing infinite flies? This could add opportunity for choices. Okay we stop the flies but what about H'thlux?

Something fun to add could be a "what happens after" section. Like what happens if H'thlux is not dealt with? Or if the goblins escapes and start their own Orcus cult?

I want to reiterate that we had a lot of fun and I'm commenting for the purpose of giving back to the author in a constructive manner. Thanks for the great module!

hey!! Really appreciate the detailed feedback! Thank you! You raise some really good points, I will make sure to address them in the next update! I especially like the „what happens after“ suggestion! I like that the questions you asked would turn it almost into a mystery, great suggestions!!

finally got around to running this last night! good stuff. i love the art and dark vibes. i did add a secret door in the first room and the players ended up discovering it and going through the dungeon backwards. im also happy they ended up lighting all of the fire things so that was super cool! i definitely plan on running it again with another group though because i didn't get a lot of time to prepared and we got cut off at the end so didn't get to the last two rooms. super cool tho. one minor suggestion would be to expand on where the players actually start. do they start in the town or at the dungeon? I let them start at the dungeon and just fast tracked the background info.

Hey! Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, the secret door makes a lot of sense and I would include it myself to make it less linear. just have to wait for the map artist to change it and then will upload it! Regarding the start: depends on how much time you have and if you have players who enjoy a bit of roleplay. The entitled young maiden a lot of players enjoy to hate :). appreciate you taking the time!

The one thing I'd change about this cool looking dungeon is adding a door to the east in room 1 to allow for player's to have more of a choice in the path they take in exploring this dungeon. otherwise things can feel railroady

thanks for the comment! Good suggestion! But the entire thing is also small enough to go back and forth between rooms, have doors be open arches etc to mingle everything up a bit.

makes sense. it looks awesome btw! I love the vibe

thanks! :)

one more thing. this says the ceiling has begun to collapse twice in a row:

Ceiling has begun to

collapse and a small pool of water has

built up in the center of the room. The

ceiling above has begun to collapse, fully

collapses at the slightest push upon

reversed gravity.

Noted! Will correct with the next version! Might also add a secret door where you suggested! Thanks for the input, much appreciated!
